I first encountered Mark from Barrier Waterproofing in 2012. At that time I was getting several bids to see what was available and what the cost would be to waterproof my basement. My situation was unlike many of the other people providing feedback. I was not able to do the exterior system so I had to go with the interior drain with the pump.
Let me just say that of the three bids, Mark Metz provided the most comprehensive and thorough outline of how best to solve my issue. Not only was the bid more reasonable than the others, it also provided many extra fixes that the others either did not know how to do or wouldn’t do without charging much more. I saved the money to do the job over three years and called Mr. Metz in late 2015 and thought the job was going to be significantly more because of the time lapse, however Mark kept the job in the same range that he quoted three years earlier.
To sum up…I just want to say, do not fear doing an internal waterproofing, because Mark and crew will do it right. Also, make no mistake Mark is extremely knowledgeable on what will work best. The project included two retaining walls to shore up internal stone walls that were deteriorating, a complete 12 x 12 dirt floor in one room that was cemented, three different areas that were dirt that needed cement and a full interior trench with drain and cement around the entire inside of the basement ending at a large sump pump tank. Mark made the job look even better by providing a wall liner system on all walls with weep holes which was fantastic. The two crew members Gary and Chris were very good workers and very professional. They got all of this work done in about 8 working days. It has been about three months since the job was completed and I can tell you that there was a lot of water that has been diverted out of my basement and everything is bone dry. I am extremely satisfied with the Job that Mark and his crew did…Simply Outstanding.
