If you want to use this company for a kitchen remodel make sure you get a DETAILED estimate. Double and triple check that they have your design correct and make sure you know exactly what you're paying for. I spent over two hours designing a kitchen with them- specifically discussed granite backsplash and 4 electrical outlet cutouts on the bar and island with two employees. After significant delays in delivery of cabinets, one arrived damaged but they did get a replacement. When they came to install countertop they claimed I hadn't asked for backsplash and outlet cutouts. Invoice says "granite per customer design" so they charged me again for those items! They also measured for the sink wrong and cut the hole in the wrong place so the sink had to be moved to accommodate their mistake. There were two cracks in the granite by the outlets. One was small but their idea of repair was to fill it with white caulk which just made it stand out more. The other is a large jagged crack above one outlet where the two sides aren't even flush. The guy that came back to try to fix it claimed "someone must have moved the granite after they left ..." When I asked if he was serious, the other guy said sometimes the weight of the granite causes it to slip. Really? It's a backsplash, completely sitting on the countertop- how is it supposed to slip? It still isn't right. They might show up when they say they're coming and they might not. For all the delays, mistakes and aggravation, the owner knocked $200 off the bill. Save yourself the aggravation and get your kitchen done by someone else.

Ms. Smith, thank you taking the time to share your comments on your recent project. We are disappointed that you are not happy with your completed project. There were some unfortunate delays in the shipping of your cabinets along with the replacement of the cabinet damaged in shipment, which was unavoidable. Our cabinets are produced in the US and are made to order, so shipping times are longer than they are with stock imports.

The reference to “granite per design” on you quote/invoice referred to the actual illustration of the initial counter top design which was reviewed with you for approval, and amended by the illustration of the changes, which was also reviewed and approved. We acknowledge that there were multiple design meetings, and if you mentioned the back splash to us at some point, it was not included in the original approved design and accordingly you were not charged for it. We did include it, along with your other requested work-in-progress design modifications, in the revised illustration, and you were charged for all changes that generated additional work and expense.

Based on conversations with our installers, the granite did separate at the thin areas where two outlets were cut on your back splash. Granite cracks and fissures can be either naturally-occurring or can occur during the fabrication and installation process. We repaired the items per industry standards, and used a custom-blended filler/adhesive made specifically for granite cracks and fissures.

The comment made by the installer regarding the granite possibly having moved was simply speculation as they were trying to assess what might have happened during the 3-4 week period between their visits. To the installers’ recollections, the seamed repair was aligned correctly when they left the installation, and it appeared that other construction workers were engaged in activities unrelated to our work at the job site. As such, it would not have been uncommon for the granite to have been either moved or accidentally bumped by another worker during that time period. Although the comment was made between the two installers and was not intended to imply that you had done anything intentional, we do apologize if their conversation upset you in some way. They were there simply there to rectify the situation and ensure your satisfaction, and we apologize if they fell short of that goal.

Additionally, our records show that we actually credited a total of $400 towards your job cost, rather than $200 as you mentioned in your comments.

We have reached out to you to try to schedule a time to stop by and assess your further concerns, but have been unable to reach you. Please call us at 843-669-1851 so that we can make arrangements to do so.
