I had a leak under my kitchen sink coming from the garbage disposal. Called Prestige to have it checked out. The service tech didn't seem to know exactly what to do but tightened the disposal. When he tried to test it the disposal was locked up. He had no idea how to get it restarted so I got out the manual and gave him the "key" to unlock and restart. The disposal then worked and he left.

The next day the cabinet under the sink was completely flooded with water leaking out onto to wood floor. Called Prestige back and told them what happened and asked for a service call with another technician. The dispatcher said the tech from the day before had been fired due to 6 customer complaints.

Another day and another technician. He turned the water on in the disposal side of the sink and confirmed that it was pouring out the bottom of the disposal. How could this be when the first technician had fixed it? New tech said it was a cheap disposal that had failed after only 3 years. He gave 2 price quotes for top of the line disposals of almost $700.00 and $900.00 installed ! Seriously ? When we questioned how it could cost that much when you can buy a very good disposal for $300.00 the tech said if we were going to buy one on line there was nothing more he could do for us and got up to leave!

We asked what happened to the charge paid 2 days ago for work that did no good? He said he was authorized to deduct it from the cost of a new disposal but there was no way they could cut their price in half so once again he was leaving because he couldn't do anything for us. We asked about the damage to the wood floor? Not his job to address. He said the charge paid (for work that only made things worse) was reasonable and would not be refunded. His attitude was very condescending.

Needless to say, I would never use this company again and had I read the other reviews about over charging and work not done correctly the first time, I would never have called Prestige.
