Everybody at Dance Depot has been great. Miss Yvonna is very available to parents. Miss Amberly has been great for my daughter in ballet class. She is strict and very thorough. My daughter really likes her. The jazz class is fun and they're making it work with a variety of teachers. Everything is very clean and put together. It all feels very functional. Even the dance apparel shop is nice and clean. The studio is beautiful and it's been a good experience all in all. I'm still learning the logistics of who to call when my daughter will miss class and things like that. The only thing that makes me pause is Dance Depot's use of candy as a reward and candy in the studio environment. I think that a place where the focus is on dancing and being dancers would have more body awareness, especially with girls. I expected a healthier environment. Maybe stickers or some other type of reward would be better than candy. I think candy sends the wrong message. I am super aware of healthy food environments and stress healthy choices at home. The reward of dance class should be that they are learning how to dance and are given an opportunity to perform on stage. A dance studio is well-positioned to present healthy food choices for everybody. Other than that, Dance Depot does a nice job with everything. I recommend them.
