Great place to take your kid for dance, but a little expensive!

Dance Depot is a great place and a great experience but the little extra expenses can start to add up. For example, there's a performance fee, a costume fee, and other fees that seem to come up regularly. Also, the requirement that parents have to stay on the premises with their child during class can be a little draining, especially if you have younger kids with you. But the teachers are great and very nice. The studio is nice and clean. I just feel sorry for parents who can't afford all the extras or for people who might want to run an errand while their kid is in class. It would even be nice if there were a vending machine there in case we get hungry while we're waiting. I do recommend Dance Depot, just beware upfront that there are some unexpected expectations for fees and parental supervision. Other dance places might be a little bit more affordable.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us what's on your mind. We are sad that you were put in the situation that you felt you couldn't leave during your daughter's classes. The Dance Depot does not require a parent to stay but since your girls were enrolled in our (2-4) & (4-6) age group combination classes, those classes do require a shoe change that usually the parents help out in doing. Please do know that if at any time you would like to leave during their class time instead of watching, their instructor would be able to take over and help you out there. We will consider making some of our combinations classes so that a shoe change is not needed. That might be nice for other parents as well.

We are sorry that we were not able to communicate with you in regards to the fee's associated with our performances. We hope to let everyone know that we offer our Production & Holiday Showcase Brochures at the studio and online for all to read. We also use the email address that each family provides to us as our main source of communication. I am sorry that the email on file we have was not being opened. Sometimes this could mean that our attempts of communication went accidentally to your Junk or Spam. I wish now that I would have been able to catch that and could have given you a call.
As we move forward, we hope that we can better ourselves and make your dance experience with the Dance Depot one that is 100% worth it.
