Overall a good experience for my mom and peace of mind for myself.
My mom has been at Waterford for a few years and the only valid complaint she has is the meal service which is often slow. With most activities in life being confined to the building, meals are often the high point of many seniors lives. That said, I remind my mom that trying to please several hundred residents has to be challenging since each person has come to Waterford with their "own way" of doing things and have unique likes and dislikes.
One of the often overheard comments from the various residents that I come in contact with is that they cannot hear at general meetings due to a poor or no PA system. I don't know if this is true or whether many residents just can't hear the presenter or questions very well. Overall, the staff is friendly, courteous, and caring for all residents. Knowing that there is a responsible staff makes my life so much less stressful knowing that if my mom has an immediate problem, Waterford is there to handle it.
