It was alright.

I had a mixed experience with Jim Olson Motors. They sold me a vehicle at a pretty decent sale price but I had a different experience with selling my Camaro to them. It was in mint condition and I put maybe a thousand miles on the vehicle since I bought it. I had thought that the car was valued at more than 21k and when I brought it to them, they told me that it was only worth about 18k. After I saw them list it on their site at 24k, I don't think that I got a fair value for it.

I wasn't pleased with them wanting to make that much money off of me. They told me that my car was worth much less than it was and that was a bit dishonest. This was my first time using them and everyone was very polite and friendly. I just wouldn't return after that experience.

I've looked into this, and I see that we offered $19,000 for your trade in, $224 over KBB excellent trade in. I'm sorry if you weren't satisfied with our offer, and we feel bad when a customer is unhappy with their trade value.
Taking a convertible on trade in the fall is somewhat risky for us because we will most likely have to sit on the car until spring. In retailing the vehicle, we have to consider cost of reconditioning, factory certifying and possibly having to hold on to the vehicle through winter.
