I had always wanted a screened in porch. One year ago, we purchased a Betterview sunroom. We did not want the four season option. Once construction started in the fall, I was impressed with the quality of materials. The underlying structure of the sunroom was built with 2x12’s and the connection to the house is solid. I requested extra sealant along the connection to the house and that was included. I was impressed with the materials and craftsmanship of the sunroom. I would say that they are not professional roofers, but that is not their specialty. A small space heater (and a few warm days) raised the temperature for us to spend time in the room a few days every month of the winter! It was used extensively during the spring. To be honest, it gets a little warm during really hot days in the summer, but cools off in the late evening. I still don’t believe that I would want to condition the space given how we use the sunroom. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the room. The Betterview is far superior to a screened in porch. I should have done this 20 years ago!!
