This well-deserved review ***** is a long-time coming. Coming from a family where my ekders, who were mechanic, I decided to wait a few months and make sure the transmission repair was done right. Well, of course with my Blazer functioning perfectly, the review slipped my mind. So now, I have a friend in Chicago with a similar dilema, high-priced quotes, and I am definitely referring him to Gus. The outrageous quotes for my 1996 Chevy Blazer 4x4, in the Chicago burbs where so high, I thought it wouldn't get done, as my vehicle wasso old. So I went to my Laporte yellow book and came across Accurate and after doing my thorough NCIS Abby style "background check," I called Gus, explaining my dilemma, in greater detail that the poor guy needed to know. He was so kind, caring, showed such concern, he won me over. Even with towing charges (50+mi.) and running into a few issues that made his work take a little long, he stood by his quote price, far below those Chicago prices.
