Made an appointment for a "Spring A/C Tune-Up". Said the system had a universal blower motor, a universal capacitor, a universal condenser fan motor and all were not at "original equipment specs". He said that it needed from 2 to 4 pounds of Freon at $185.00 per pound and the evaporator must have a leak. It would cost $3,995.00 to replace it or new systems would cost $8,500, $9,300, and $12,000. I smell a rat from the beginning. I had my regular A/C guy check and it did take 1/2 pound of Freon after 3 years since it was topped off the last time. The drains were supposedly "blown out". One week after the "checkup" the main drain backed up due to a clog. This industry has very few reputable, fair companies operating. Buyer beware!
