Good Sales pitch, just like a car saleman
They came out the same day i called (took him about 40min), which was impressive. First impression of him was good. He was a friendly guy, well dressed and groomed. He even wore his shoe covers before coming into my house! But when it came down to pricing, i thought it was a bit expensive. Although the trip fee was free, they would've made it up with the service they provided.
The guy also tried to sale me a one-year tune-up/maintenance deal. So he continues to explain what the tune-up would include: inspection of the unit (two times per year), one pound of freon, and any basic maintenance required if he were to find any problems. So i asked if he had an actual paper that included what he had explained. When he gave it to me, all i saw was just a lot of inspection work, other work included just cleaning around your unit of grass and weed, nothing about the freon or additional work that he had explained. I don't think i need to pay $155 for that.
Well, on the plus side, i didn't feel any pressure whatsoever to make a purchase or have a service done. he also quoted me several prices ($193, $174, $145 + $155). $193 just to change out the capacitor which would've been a 3 minute job, if even.
