Okay.

I was very pleased with my experience with using Chem Dry. I decided to have five rooms of carpet cleaned and my sofa and loveseat. My only concern was that when asked, the technician said that the carpet would be dry in 1 to 2 hours and the sofa and loveseat would be dry in 4 to 6 hours. In actual fact, the carpet was dry in two DAYS and the sofa and loveseat were dry in three DAYS. I don't know if that was because I keep the temperature in my home at 68 degrees or if it was because the technician had to use so much liquid that it took that long to dry. I did increase the temperature in my home to 70 for a day, which seemed to help in the drying process.

The carpet and furniture did clean very nicely.

Unfortunately, the dry-time does depend on solubility of carpet & whether the technician had to use more chemicals. You are right in saying that the temperature could have had an effect as well. Thank you for the great review and sorry the drying time was a little longer than normal!
