Pinch me I'm finally playing piano
Honestly, I've been dancing (sometimes literally) around trying to understand the beautifully complex language of music all my life. I've been in choir, sang solos, I've played alto sax, guitar; I've had 2 years of private vocal lesson from a Met Opera first tenor and I've taken music theory in college. Although I can honestly say my horizons have broadened to appreciate many aspects of music; still somehow through all my training I still felt like I was missing out and I wasn't able to make my love of music truly known. I've never been able to find my natural ability and most importantly PUT IT INTO PRACTICE. But finally out of nowhere, I am, today playing the piano. I'm so happy I've taken up these lessons. Jim and I seem to be of a similiar mold anyway but more importantly when we play and talk about the notes, rhythm, etc. Jim is teaching me to put my hands on the piano first, and then let my heart, mind and soul follow. every week so far since Febuary I find that it's reflected in my playing. You can take this to the bank and cash it because I'm a tough customer :-). It's never too late, pick up an instrument and let Melody Music Studios be your guide.
