I am a single woman and need to rely and trust the service I pay for. I had my last oil change done at this same place and they sold me the Royal Purple Syn oil and I was told that I would not need another oil change until 10k miles. My maintenance light came on at 5k miles and I called in and asked if I was still ok, since my reminder sticker on the windshield had another 5k miles to go. The service rep told me that there was no such thing as 10k miles oil and that I needed to come in for an oil change. I did and then checked with my car dealer and autozone about the Royal Purple oil. I was told by the autozone rep that he uses the Royal Purple and has gone 12k miles between oil changes. Looking at my receipt, they also have recommendations of service listed, such as alignment. I just put new tires on my car and had an alignment done, why would they recommend alignment again? I feel they just cheated me out of money and service to my vehicle that I did not need.
