After 12 years as a loyal renter, I experienced the worst news possible this spring, a diagnosis of cancer and was out of commission for 6 months at which during that time my working credit card was on file at HSS but not being charged. Little did I know that I was somehow required in this day and age to physically drive over to HSS to physically pay with my credit card that was already on file. Since HSS viewed this as non-payment and refused to contact me on my cell phone (which Willis would do on rare occasions), my unit was auctioned off. Let's just say that if Willis were still there, not only would this not have happened as all it required was a simple call to my cell phone to clear up any charges, he would have had compassion and been very understanding of my situation. I'll continue to fight cancer, and I hope I can help the public to be extremely mindful and careful before doing business with Hermosa Self Storage.
