We bought a chairlift from StairBusters.com and we really love it. It is not just the ease, which we see as a bonus, but the safety factor. At our age, it just takes one fall to really cause you problems. The device is versatile, and if you fold it up properly, then you can still use the stairs in a normal fashion. That is a nice feature because we have a grandson who lives with us, and he always takes the stairs. But, our washer and dryer are located in the basement, and so we have to go down there on a daily basis, and the chairlift really makes that easy for us. But most importantly, it makes it safe for us to go up and down the stairs. The company was very prompt on installing the lift. We ordered it one day, and we had it the next. That was impressive. Their installer was a very friendly person, and he showed up on time. I also like the fact that StairBusters is a local company, and relatively small. And, that their products are made in America.
