National Grid referred you to myself seeing that we were in need for our outside meter to be replaced due to intermitting power to household appliances and lighting fixtures. I felt finished work was well done so I gave you a 4 star rating. I however need to address highlight some detailed issues. Issues are as following. ....
Day 1.....Your representative came and evaluated the situation and advised that I didn't need a new outside meter box. He recommended a new breaker box to be installed at a new location to meet current code requirements. A junction box to be installed at location of current breaker box to allow extended wiring. Cable from meter to be replaced with new cable. Ground system to be updated.
Day 2.....Electrician arrives and looks at situation and stated he could not do the job by himself.
Day 3.....Two electricians arrive and installed new breaker box, junction box, new cable from outside meter box. Job was completed ....5 mins later...problem occurred again. I phoned your office and advised that situation has recurred.
Day 4.....Deven was sent out to look at situation. He advised we need a new meter box outside wire coming into meter box was totally corroded just as National Grid indicated.
Day 5.....The electrician arrives and starts disconnecting junction box. I questioned him "Why"? He said a mistake was made. As the day progressed, the meter box outside was replaced with new cable to breaker box. Problem solved.
Conclusion. ............ The day before I had paid for a junction box to be installed with new wiring from meter box. The following day it was removed for which I was charged. I would have thought that the junction box would have been left behind. I paid for it. I also paid for another new cable wire to breaker box....i paid for it twice. To my knowledge there was no adjustment made in my bill. I'm still satisfied with the finished work.
