New Range Installation Problem
When we bought our house 10 years ago, we purchased appliances from Standard.
The dishwasher that came with the house broke earlier this year. The range that came with the house began displaying a fault code in late October and the part is no longer made. We decided to go with Standard for these 2 items.
The range was purchased on November 12 and we were told it would take 7 - 10 days to get it in. November 18, we got a call telling us it would be in right before Thanksgiving and got an installation date of November 29 for both the range and dishwasher.
Because we are going from electric to gas, we needed a 120 volt circuit and wiring installed. Due to issues with the circuit panel and how the wiring was done, we had to have the 240 volt circuit and wires completely removed. This was done on November 25 so everything would be ready for installation on the 29th.
Today, November 26, we received a call that the range that was scheduled to be installed in 3 days is backordered and won't be in for another 2 weeks. So, we now have no way of cooking food except for a microwave.
The person who called was going to see what could be done but has yet to call back.
