DCS Gas Range

I bought a dream new home that came with a DCS gas range. I am an experienced chef, this piece of equipment came with design flaws, the dials for turning on the burners and oven are impossible to read, which means I burned a lot of food or undercooked it =$$$.
I called Standard Appliance and they had no obligation on fixing this issue, why would you carry EXPENSIVE equipment you had not tried out or have hooked up for customers to try out?

I then called the manufacturer and basically their response was, it was now my problem and they did not offer any sort of solution! The manufacturers suggested retail price is $5.500.00, and this piece of $@!#% is not self cleaning. What a terribly disappointing customer experience! I am currently using painters tape to mark 350 degrees. :+/

Hi, Rob. Congratulations on your new home. Sorry that you’re not satisfied with your new range. DCS/Fisher & Paykel is a brand that we do a fair amount of business of with both builders and retail customers. In fact, some of our sales staff even have DCS products in their own personal homes. We do honor the product warranties, in the case of repairs needing to be done, but unfortunately, any cases of dissatisfaction with the product would need to be addressed by either the builder that you purchased the home from, or the manufacturer of the product.
