Poor. Customer service. Poor follow through. Failure to disclose history of item purchased.
Following a clothes dryer fire in our 12 yr old electric dryer, we came to Standard Appliance to replace it. The salesman showed us a floor model Miele, which he said came with a full warrantee. After two weeks it malfunctioned and required repair. I was told by Standard they did not service Miele products, and I should contact the factory directly. The factory told me to contact a local repair shop (TNR). It took two weeks to arrange a repair visit. Then TNR explained the needed parts were on back order and would not be available for three weeks more. Our salesman Eugene and his manager Cy agreed this was unreasonable and promised they would do whatever it would take to correct the situation. But they have done absolutely nothing. We are looking at three more weeks (their current story) without a dryer. IF they get it fixed on schedule we will have been without a dryer for almost six weeks. Their story they’d do whatever it took to fix this situation ended up being nothing but a ploy to get me off the phone. Standard Appliance does not stand behind the products they sell. They failed to disclose the floor model they sold us is not supported by the manufacturer. They failed to disclose the “floor model” had already broken down on their showroom floor, and been repaired, also that it had had 65 hours of use.
