Woefully disappointed
Referred to Standard by a long-time customer. Was excited at first, so stunned when we had a truly horrible experience.
After installing a non-functioning dishwasher (installer left before checking it out), my tenants (yes, this was in a rental which complicated matters ever further) were told by the installers to call the manufacturer to arrange a repair, despite the fact we called the very same day it was installed! After hassling with another half dozen people, we connected with a sympathetic repair person who agreed to have someone come take a look. After 3 more visits over the course of a month (from install to final repair), during which every single working part on the machine was replaced, the last repair person discovered that the installer had just forgot a simple hookup to the pump. There was probably nothing wrong with the machine in the first place!!!
So, now we have a fully refurbished (not new) machine with a limited warranty that will probably die the day after it expires, after which we will return to one of the big box stores. You see, we expect poor service from them, but we won't have to pay as much.
Overall, we were extremely disappointed with both the product and the service (especially with some of the snarky people involved -- though not the sales person or the repair folks, even though it seemed no one knew what the others were doing). Better communication, better customer service from some employees (Patrick in repair was particularly rude), and a more conciliatory response from customer service would go a long way.
