We actually bought from the store on 82nd Ave. Initially we thought we had died & gone to appliance heaven. We ordered a top of the line new double oven new stove with an over the range convection M.W.
And a top of the line Stacking W & D. And a great dishwasher & Refrigerator/Freezer. Delivery would be the following week, on Tuesday. That's when all the trouble began. The salesman had never asked us the dimensions from the stove to the base of the cabinets.If he had we would have had to say that 'We don't know, as this stove has a bit higher backrise, so we'll have to go home & measure. He did say that ...'sometimes people have to do some cabinet remodel. I said we wouldn't want to do that & the subject was dropped. He showed us a stove with a M.W. that could go over it. We were quite excited. But the delivery men said there was no way a M.W. would fit in the space over our new stove. They took the M.W. back. Then came the stacking Washer/Dryer(When we were in the store the salesman showed us with foot that the bottom kick plate could be removed.)The Washer had to be returned to remove the kick plate. 2 weeks later they returned with a washer(they had let up keep & used the dryer until they return, which we gladly did to wash all the clothes washed by hand in the bathtub)
The put the dryer on top of the Washer, now without a kick plate & the dryer controls were too high for 5'3" & 5'8"people could not reach.(We've since learned that if we had gone to almost any other appliance store we could have bought and Energy Efficient Stacking W/D with the dryer controls on the bottom of it or otherwise reachable.)
They did bring a counter mirowave 2 weeks later too. The first night I was going to cook a potato, just as we had in our previous Sharp Carousel - Push the button for potato & out comes a cooked potato. Not with this new one! I pushed Potato & out came the same raw one I had put in.
So...I can say 3 good things: We like the Refrigerator/Freezer, the Dishwasher & the Delivery men from Blue Goose Trucking. They were exceptionally professional even when they were exhausted.
