I would strongly recommend The Shores because of the overall quality of the operation: The staff and the facility are all top-notch. I like their staff's personal attention to each resident in terms of personal care and the way they stay on top of medications and things like that. And, their food is excellent from everything I've seen. My father likes it even though he does have some weakness in terms of sensory perception, because his senses of taste and smell are weak.

He receives assisted living-plus services which provide some additional personal care. Overall, he likes it there--but he would rather be in his own house, of course, which is understandable. All things considered, he is happy. If someone can afford to live there, it's a no-brainer. The Shores would come highly recommended.
