I am 64 years old and have never been fitted for clubs before. I went in for a full bag fitting at Club Champion Dallas with Bobby Ennis. Bobby was very professional and thorough in explaining the process and gave me plenty of time to warm up. We started with the 6 iron and spent a good deal of time working through shaft and head combinations. The results with the Trackman Radar indicated substantial gains in distance, accuracy, and comfort with the club. We then fitted the fairway woods and found a combination that was easy to hit and added much needed distance. We took a break, then found a new putter combination with proper shaft and lie alignment. My Driver was not working for me today and we could not get a decent baseline, as I was getting tired. Bobby suggested we finish up the driver, wedge, and hybrid fitting at a later date. I ordered new irons, fairway woods, and a new putter and cannot wait to try them. I know there will be an adjustment period, but the numbers with the Trackman and my comfort with the new club combination do not lie. I know this process is a bit expensive, but in my case it will be easier and more fun to improve my game without having to fight the golf clubs. You owe it to yourself to get fitted.
