Quality fitting went over price target
Had a great time in my fitting, but left a bit frustrated. Had prefaced fitting with desire to stay in a given price range. Unfortunately, we immediately jumped to aftermarket shafts only (not even comparing stock shafts). When the fitting came out $350 over my target price, the $100 fitting charge was waived, which was very nice. Unfortunately, it still left me $250 over what I budgeted. While I play at a high level (and can probably justify the aftermarket shafts), I’m not sure the avg person having a fitting is really going to get much more out of a $400 aftermarket shaft compared to the stock shafts. At a minimum, they should be compared and the customer should be informed. This was my 3rd time with club champion, and the fittings always lead to better on-course results, but the price should be better controlled. It’s hard to justify a $1k driver if you’re not playing on tour.
