I had been "fit" before, or so I thought. A demo day here and there, my pro had some clubs for me to test a few times, and I thought that was enough. After all, it's my swing, not the clubs. Well.....that's only partly true.

I started out by discussing what my goals were for the fitting (better accuracy first and foremost) and testing my current clubs. I wasn't shocked by any of the distances or shot pattern...after all, I see this every time I tee it up!

Then we started working through different combinations of heads and shafts (Just look at the online pictures...they have everything and then some). I was surprised to see how shafts of different "profiles" is what I was told they were called could react so differently from one another. Some weren't as good as my current clubs, but some were markedly better, especially how much straighter I could hit them.

I took a few days before writing this review to think about my fitting. Besides all the combinations of clubs available to hit, what stuck out to me most from my fitting was the information I received about how equipment is different and how it affects the way I swing the club and impact the ball. There was no rush in my fitting. We had time to look at the numbers and understand exactly what was going on instead of the typical "you hit that one further than the other one" which had been my typical "fitting" in the past. Now I know what type of shafts and heads are best for me. I like having that knowledge.

I'm excited to see the results my new clubs will have on my game.
