So here's my story (January 2019). I've been playing golf for 50 years (1969 - 2019). Since 1996, I've used Taylor Made LCG Bubble Shaft irons. I had to replace a driver, so I stepped up to a TaylorMade M2/10.5degree. These served me well, but two years ago I couldn't get replacement grips, and I had finally worn out the irons. In fact, in December 2018 I broke the head off my 5-iron at the hossle with a normal swing! There's no way to fix it at this point. So this forced my hand to consider getting new clubs. One of my golf buddies recommended I visit Club Champion and get fitted for new clubs. I finally broke down and made an appointment for a full bag fitting with Chris Johnson. I had never taken this plunge before. Chris worked with me for 3.5 hours the first day, and we converged on irons, wedges, and a driver. I had to return to complete the fitting for a 3 metal and hybrid/rescue club. What an experience. I hit over 200 $@!#% with more shafts and clubheads than I can remember. The trackman technology was awesome. I had never seen so many swing stats! But the whole thing worked for me. I ordered a new set of Callaway Rogue Pro irons, new wedges, and Titleist 3S driver, 3W, and hybrid/19. The clubs were custom built and shipped from the factory in Chicago. They came early! To date, I've had 2 practice sessions and played 3 rounds with them. It took that to get used to them, but wow, do they feel great. I've definitely gained some yardage, and lots of accuracy. The investment of time and $ has been well worth it for me, especially at this stage in my golfing life - a 64 year old leftie retired guy. Let me finish with a solid endorsement of Chris's expertise and trustworthiness. He didn't just go through the motions. He's a professional who wants golfers to be as best as possible by getting the right equipment in their hands. If you need new clubs, this is a place to think about using to get them.
