I saw club champion was having a winter club fitting special. For me being new to the wonderful game of golf, I thought this would be a great opportunity to see how I can get greater consistency with my clubs. I just started playing 5 months ago. I was paired with Kyle for my fitting. I told him my goal was to get better ball contact and consistency. I hit a couple of $@!#% with my clubs. Kyle then got an idea of what I should be using. He made a recommendation based on my swing parameters. Long story short. I was playing with clubs that were too light on the shafts and a very small sweet spot on the club heads. I was fitted with a heavier shaft and more of a players set of irons. I felt really good when I was setup with what Kyle recommended and I was able to get a better grouping with more consistency. I am by no means a great player but I feel like I have more confidence in my swing and hopefully will get better results on the green. I wish I would have gone to get fitted a lot sooner but I'm glad I did. Everyone is extremely helpful at club champion and I wouldn't hesitate to go back for service or for just some advice. I did get a full bag fitting and I did end up getting new irons. My driver, hybrids and wedges just re-shafted with the new recommended shafts. I can't wait to try them out once they are built.
