Too Expensive
I felt overcharged by LaVergne Plumbing and Heating. I was away from home and unable to replace the hot water heater myself. I would have been able to replace it in about an hour but somehow the bill came out to $1400, which I thought was just way overpriced. I would hire someone else in the future if this kind of issue came up when I was away from home. It bugged me that they didn't seem to be trying to conserve money on the job. For example, they not only took my old hot water heater away, but they took the hoses with it too. They put new ones in that are lower quality but I liked the ones I had. Additionally, they had to reroute the drain on my hot water heater and they used expensive fittings for no reason. I would rather they reused my hoses and used $0.99 fittings instead of fittings that cost 10x as much, at least that's what I would have done. The icing on the cake was that they forgot to turn the hot water heater on when they left. My wife ended up calling me the next morning (I'm in Florida) and said there's no hot water. Overall, I thought they could have done a better job for less money.
