Expensive Disapointment
We had a negative experience with Mr. Handy Man Lenexa. They promised us multiple technicians to complete our project however there was only one 4 out of 5 days( two technicians one of the days) our project took. During the final walk through I showed the technician areas of concern, however they were not corrected ( I returned to work after showing him). We had to make several calls to the the owner to get a technician back to correct problem areas (which were many) as they guarantee satisfaction or what they labeled as “warranty work”. They wanted to bill us for correcting problems we already paid them to fix. 10 days later a technician return to fix the problem areas. We walked through with him in the morning and showed him the problems areas. When I arrived home from work No work was done! No phone call explanations or anything. They apologized for the confusion and said the technician was new and confused. We had to schedule for the work to be fix on two additional occasions (technician couldn’t come because he was injured is what we were told) 3 weeks after reaching out to them we finally had a technician show up. We were charged for hours the technicians weren’t at our property (there hourly log was way off from ours They billed us for roughly 47 working hours we record them for being there no more than 40 (heck of a difference at $85 per hour). I called to share all of my concerns, dissatisfaction, and frustration with all of the mis-communication and follow up. The owner was condescending in his email , un responsive at time, and treated us as we were a nuisance. After all of this and paying $4400 for less than satisfactory work and bad customer service. The company had the nerve to send us an additional bill of roughly $200 for sending a technician to fix the unsatisfactory areas. Prior to my review I reach out to the company to come to some sort of resolution however no response or attempt to make us happy customers. My warning to anyone who will be working with this company, get every guarantee and promise in writing, and do not pay a penny until the job is completed to your satisfaction. This is their policy. Out of good faith and our technician saying to call if we had any problems we paid them the balance once requested. They were then no longer interested in our satisfaction. Shame on us, but lesson learned… First time homeowners
