Billing issues

This company was suggested to us from our insurance company after our house had water damage. It took them months to get started but once they got going they did a decent job putting our house back together. The problem we faced was they billed us for things they shouldn’t have. They rushed putting in the carpet a day early, which we didn’t know until we came to check on our house and the guy installing the carpet told us he was told to install it a day early. The project manager told me and my husband that we were okay to leave those items in the room and we wouldn’t be charged for it. They told us the carpet will be installed Wednesday so we came home on Tuesday evening to our carpet already in. No one informed us about the change, or told us that we needed to move all the furniture. Months later this company harassed us for money for them moving out furniture. If this was discussed to us properly it would have been moved and there would have been no problems. It’s the fact that they put in the carpet earlier than we had discussed and the fact that the project manager had lied to us. We discussed this with billing and our project managers and yet they are still demanding money. Be careful with this company and make sure they don’t charge you for things they shouldn’t be. I would have given them better rating and recommend them to others if this situation didn’t happen. Very disappointing.

We are sorry that your experience with us was less than perfect. Your project was delayed due to additional plumbing work you had done with your own plumbing contractor, which was completed just before the holidays, and you informed us that you did not want the work to start until after the holidays. You asked us to include carpeting in three extra bedrooms that were not part of your loss, we worked diligently with you to find a carpet that was within your budget, and we agreed prior to the carpets being installed that you would be responsible for moving the furniture out of the extra rooms. Our Superintendent, Allan, spoke with Steven and he was well aware of when the carpet was going to be installed and he verbally agreed with Allan that it was OK for the carpet installers to move the furniture since they were having difficulty getting it done. Prior to billing your project, we discussed the extra charges with you and Steven, and you were well aware of them. Over the course of the next three months, we reached out to you to discuss the unpaid balance for the moving charges, but you never returned a call or email. After three months, we finally heard back from you, and in good faith we cut the additional moving charges in half, yet we never received payment from you.
