Last April our front-load washing machine malfunctioned, spewing gallons and gallons of water throughout the main floor of our house. Our wood floors begin to warp within a day and within three days the entire main floor was torn up down to the sub-floor; industrial sized fans were positioned through out the house and our walls were covered in plastic. We were lucky to have great insurance that was going to cover most everything but it was still going to be a major project that we would be living with for the next few months. We chose Jim Black Construction based on some recommendations and within a few days we were quoted a price and the process of rebuilding our main floor had begun. We have a family of five kids, three dogs, and a cat, so we have a lot of moving parts that sometimes require patience from others! We always had a point person for questions, which helped so much. Additionally, they worked with our insurance company to make sure we understood what was happening, where the money was coming from and going, and what we could expect. The finished product is beyond amazing. They were also honest in their estimates so we didn’t end up with unwelcome surprises. These are good people who do great work.
