An experience person and an Apprentice from Quality 1st Plumbing and Heating visited my home on 7/8/17. They were both very fair and honest. They successfully solved the problem of quieting my HVAC unit in my bedroom for $99. Part of the solution was tightening the harness on the motor which was loose. Previously on 5/16/17, a different contractor changed the position of the motor in the unit to make the oil valves more accessible, but failed to tighten the motor back down because it was loose. Although this previous contractor also oiled the motor and gave me a recommendation with an estimate, he charged me $100 for his services on 5/16/17. This same contractor offered no other options other than modernizing the entire unit by replacing the motor, coil, fan blade and valves with new ones for a total of $1575, or a brand new unit for $2,450. The guys from Quality 1st Plumbing and Heating deemed this unnecessary. After running the HVAC unit in my bedroom for over a month, I agree with the assessment Quality 1st Plumbing and Heating made, and I am very glad they came to my home.
