Christmas journey to the Rockies made possible.
I noted two drips of oil about under the rear end on the garage floor Thursday afternoon going into the Christmas period. I thought that maybe I should go over to Sand Land North and mention the two drips. When I did they offered to put my LR3 up on the hoist and take a look. To my surprise, the rear end was wet with fresh oil leaking out of what is called the pinion seal. This I regarded as a showstopper as far as my Christmas trip into the Rockies. Not so as far as Sandy Lane was concerned; they got the parts in from Calgary overnight and Friday morning installed a new seal and by noon, I was on my way.
While a lot of people were parked in the ditch, for me, the trip went well down and back. It would have been a no go without Sandy Lane's last minute efforts.
