Just not happy with the school.
I felt like the classes were too easy. For a year, ATA Career Education just pushed me through the work. When I asked for help, they told me what to study in the book instead of helping me themselves, even though personal attention was what their literature had promised. They also told me exactly what to expect on their tests. In the end, I feel like I didn't learn much and clearly wasn't prepared for the official medical coding certification test. I wasn't the only one in this position. Only about three out of fifteen students passed the certification test. So now I don't have certification. I'm out of work. And I have a twenty thousand dollars student loan to pay back. I just can't recommend ATA Career Education.
