Terrible customer service.

I don't know if this place has honest mechanics or not, because they didn't even try to fix my car. They have a very serious problem with customer service.

I brought in my Pontiac on a Thursday morning to have a "check engine" light taken care of, and also asked them to perform a few scheduled maintenance items. They said they would call before starting work, and asked if I could pick it up the next day. I said sure.

Thursday goes by, no call. Friday morning, no call. At 1 p.m. on Friday, I call them and ask what's going on. They said Mike was busy and would call me back by 2 p.m. No call. Finally at 4:30 I call again, knowing they close at 5:30 and aren't open on the weekend. (I need my car this weekend.) Mike says, oh, we're just pulling your car in now. Now, after you've had it for two days? So you're obviously not going to have time to fix it before you close, right, Mike? No, he says, sorry, we couldn't get to it. When I picked up the car, I got the same shrug and casual apology -- Mike didn't seem to care that he had wasted my time, lost a customer, and earned a bad recommendation. He never even had the decency to call me and tell me there might be a problem.

Is this place the Rao's of car repair or something? I don't know if you have to be the manager's cousin to get your car fixed here, but I'll never find out, because I'm not going back.

Dear David,
As a long established business with a number of glowing reviews, we are simply aghast at your review--not because you are being untruthful, but because you are entirely correct. We wasted your time by keeping your car for two days and doing nothing on it, and for that we apologize as we are truly sorry. In our indefensible defense, a combination of Mike being new to our company, combined with circumstances that were out of our control caused us to be backed up on work, which led to your car somehow getting "lost" in the shuffle. The one thing that we will dispute, however, is that Mike's apology was casual. We can assure you that he was entirely genuine, as was his apology.
Having said that, if you were to give us one more chance, not only do we guarantee you that this would not happen again, but we would also waive our diagnostic fee. However, we understand that first impressions are lasting, and as such cannot fault you if you have no desire to return and let us attempt to make amends.
We are truly sorry for wasting your time.
Sincerely,
Charlie and Frank
