i was not contacted by phone to discuss what i had wanted worked on, nor what they had actually done.

Mark, we're sorry for any miscommunication. We didn't speak to you or your wife when the car was dropped off in the morning, since the keys and car were waiting for us when we opened. However, the note you left us was straight forward, and while we weren't able to get in direct contact with you, we were able to talk to your wife. We assumed that we would be able to discuss what we found with your car with Luisa. In the future, we will make every effort to discuss and receive approval for work from you personally.
