We woke up on January 2nd with no heat. We called a service company whose technician determined that there was a loose wire in our boiler, and said that he fixed the problem. When the heat went out again two days later, we called Edison Heating and Cooling. A service representative came out the next day, said it was a loose wire and fixed the problem. The next day, the heat was off again. I called Edison and they came out within two hours. The service representative stated that he was able to determine the problem, a bad high temperature water shut off switch and gauge that worked intermittently. Since it was a Saturday, we had to wait until Monday morning for Edison Heating and Cooling to look for the parts that we needed. On Monday we received a call from Edison Heating and Cooling saying that the parts had been discontinued. They set up an appointment with their Comfort Advisor, R.J. Kizima, for the same afternoon. R.J. was very thorough, measured all of the baseboard heating radiators, looked at the current boiler and recommended a Carrier Hot Water Boiler. We were very happy to find out that Edison Heating and Cooling was able to get the new boiler and install it on Wednesday, since we had been without heat for a week. The service technicians, Mike C. and Christian, came out at 7:30 on Wednesday morning. They were polite, courteous and very professional. They wore shoe coverings so as not to dirty the floor and the carpets in the house, and even spread tarps from the front door through the hallway, down the basement stairs and made a pathway in the basement with the tarp all the way to the boiler area. They worked carefully and efficiently until late afternoon installing the boiler and the hot water heater - even skipping lunch. When the installation was completed, they showed us how to set the new thermostats and operate the new boiler. We were very pleased with the job that Edison Heating and Cooling did for us in such a timely manner and would certainly recommend their services to future customers.
