We recently moved into a new home and knew the heating systems were reaching end-of-life so we began calling HVAC companies to provide recommendations and estimates for a new furnace and water heater. Our plan was to do our homework now and perform any upgrades prior to the heating season next fall. Edison Heating and Cooling was the last of several companies we called. Scheduling was easy with evening consultations available and our appointment was made for the same day I called. Gary Bernardo was the salesman who came to our house and performed a very thorough assessment of our systems. During this, Gary identified a very serious safety issue in the very old furnace; a flame roll-out condition (read: carbon monoxide poisoning). Gary even suggested calling our gas utility company on-site to provide a second opinion (they agreed with everything Gary identified).

He walked us through every line of his proposals taking time to answer all our questions. Having done some preliminary research myself on heating systems, I read a lot of opinions about different types of systems. Gary provided educated advice about why he was recommending certain systems versus others. This type of knowledge only comes from a wealth of real-world experience.

Gary's proposals were detailed and professional. He gave us the best pricing possible recognizing we now found ourselves in an emergency safety situation with no heat and winter not yet over. We accepted Gary's proposal on a Wednesday evening and had our new furnace and water heater installed Friday morning.

Jordan and Brian were the installation team. They showed up promptly and were courteous and friendly. They took time to explain the work they would be doing and kept me informed of their progress throughout the day. They made sure to protect our home during their work and cleaned up once done. They asked for my input and preferences when it came to some of the smaller details of the installation, which I appreciated, and explained the operation of the new systems once they completed their work.
