ATA College

The instructors made themselves available and I definitely would use them again.

I took the RN class at ATA College. This was a pilot program for them and I was one of the first to attend it. I would recommend the school to others. The instructors were good to work with. I was very willing to give them a lot of feedback and make recommendations on how they could perhaps do things better in the future. Although, overall, it seemed to go pretty well. The instructors took extra time to help you through the lessons. Due to health reasons, I had to take a break from the classes and retake one of them. I was able then to give feedback about doing pediatrics at the same time you do OB rotation. If we took the two courses together then we could learn a lot about the newborn infants right along with it. I had actually worked in OB and felt that my feedback would be helpful. I was considerably older than the other students. They complained amongst themselves rather than giving feedback to the instructors or administrators. I think because of my age I know better about who to go to and be helpful to the school. It is best to work with them than just complain about something. I knew who to go to and who to talk to. I made my recommendations and explained why. I felt that attending ATA College really helped me because it would be a bit quicker than attending a university program. You go onto a long waiting list at a university and often, you cannot transfer your credits. Using this program they made it possible to transfer your credits instead of jumping through a lot of hoops. Most universities want you to repeat a lot of your courses. The instructors made themselves available to everyone and even gave you a direct line to reach them at. There was only one instructor that was difficult to reach and that is only because she had an abundance of work to handle. I did not feel like anyone was valid about their complaints and the other students never tried to make a difference by working with them. I did, and again, maybe because I was older. As for the pricing of the course, I have been working towards my BSN from 2008 to 2014, so I felt the cost was fair. I would definitely use ATA College again.
