I had attended ATA College twice. This second time was a disaster! It was nothing like the first time that I had taken classes with them. The way that they handled business this time around was terrible. There were many things that I was not made aware of like the classes and the extra fees. There was very poor communication on their part. The staff was not as professional as they used to be. I most recently took classes to become a medical coder. I actually failed the first time that I took the course because I was not being taught anything by the instructor. I complained to the school about it and the second time around I had a better instructor and I passed the course. I am probably done with school now that I have this career, but even if I had to take classes again I definitely would not use ATA College. I made comparisons with other schools and they are most definitely overpriced. They take a whole month to add to your fees and it is an additional one hundred dollars per semester that you have to pay out of your own pocket. It is so not worth it at all. The computers were not working half of the time in the classrooms. Then the rooms often did not have any heat in them. The books that you have to get are overly expensive too. I did not have the same experience that I had the first time that I took classes with them. This was definitely not a good experience and I would never recommend them to anyone.
