I attended ATA College for their 12 month medical coding program. Overall the teachers were good. There was one in particular who I remember being very knowledgeable. She took different approaches to teaching to adapt to different learning styles of the student.

I now have a job in coding. And for the most part, I feel prepared to work in the coding field. Unfortunately, my externship was in billing. I did get good experience during my time there, but I didn't get to see what coding was all about. I would've preferred an externship in coding.

Overall, it was a good educational experience.
