I am not sure that I would recommend Brooks Plumbing Co. I had a high freeze outdoors, so this company was recommended to me by a friend and I called and they had someone that managed the request and they were very nice and they said that they would respond the next morning.
Then the next morning I sat and waited until 8am or so and I called again and I was told that they had just opened and they had a lot of calls and they were trying to get organized and they would call back. And they did call back at a reasonable time and I was told that a fellow would be coming and I think he was a little late but you know, it was very reasonable.
He was very nice and he did about 15 min of work to cap off the pipe and he charged me $190 and then before he left, he suggested that I covered the pipe with some sort of insulation, so after he left I went to do that and that's when I saw that he had basically broken the pipe and he had done nothing more than that. So, it's an eye sore that I'm going to have to get fixed.
For $190 he could have replaced that piece of pipe or done a better job at making it look better. I mean, I paid a lot of money for a service ( and let me clear, he did resolve the problem. He capped it and stopped the leak and I have no complains about that. He was also very nice and helpful and I appreciated it) but I paid a lot of money for what it took the man 15 min to do and it would have been nice if he would have done a better job.
If his solution was to break the pipe at least he could have replaced it so that I didn't have to end up with this eye sore that I will have to fix later on.
Again, he he was perfectly nice and very courteous and he essentially got the job done and I appreciate that they want to do a good job, but I didn't realized what it looked like until after and for the amount of money that I paid, I was startled.
