The salesmen checked out early. There wasn't as much feedback in terms of quality control as I would've liked. For example, concerning our scheduling agreement there wasn't proper expectations met. There was a lot of uncertainty on our part about when they would have job completed.

We called them to install granite countertops in our bathroom. It turned out okay. We had difficulty mounting hardware in the granite. I would've liked to have been consulted before they drilled holes and had more input so we didn't have to make adjustments afterwards. The job itself turned out okay.

We've used them in the past for kitchen countertops, and some of the same problems existed. There's not as smooth of a handoff between sales and operations part of it. I would've liked to been introduced by sales to technicians. Again, everything negative is mostly communications problems. The work's not necessarily bad. There were things I liked, but a lot we had to finish ourselves.

We chose S&D Remodeling and Glass LLC because they were convenient as they were in the area, but we didn't do much research on their referral base. They are okay to work with, but don't seem to have a process for communicating well with the customer. We probably won't use them again, and I wouldn't feel comfortable staking my reputation on their service by recommending them to anyone. For anyone considering them, be open, ask the right questions about who your contact is, what to expect in terms of timeline, be sure you understand who to talk to.
