Probably Use Them Again!

I hired iHummingbird for installation of av and blinds. This is somewhat of a mom and pop type of establishment. When contacting Richard you do get a quick response from him for instance if you call him and leave a message he is quick to get back with you. The problem that I had was when anything changed with regards to the actual work being performed, it would have been better for me to receive something emailed, faxed or mailed that would definitively let me know where I stood as far as the end result and the changes that were made. In this way, there would be no surprises with charges etc., I communicated this with Richard. I did pay what was charged but again, I think that "formal, in writing communication" is a must! I think their pricing is a little high as well but they are a type of mom and pop store. I gave them three and a half stars on everything but they can only do three on the actual survey. I also would probably use them again if the need arose.

We will refine our process to make sure that our communication is more transparent. However, in the "heat of battle" there are decisions that have to be made in the moment to ensure a successful installation. There are many variables in installing smart technology and sometimes electrical, cable company scheduling, structural anomalies, etc. create challenges that require additional labor and material. Stopping work to create change orders is not in the best interest of successfully completing the project in a timely manner.
