We got designs from Blue Haven and Keith Zars. Both designs were nice but Keith Zars was completely inflexible on everything. You either took their design or got nothingterrible way to do business. Keith Zars also took 2 weeks just to produce the plan. Blue Haven (Doug) came out to the house with his laptop and in about 4 hours created the design at our kitchen table, changing designs on the fly based on input from us.
Pros:
Beautiful pool, we absolutely love it.
Design and building flexibility--we actually made changes during the digging process based on a suggestion from the backhoe operator.
Competitively priced
Service personnel (Jim) have been very helpful walking me through things to save me money on out of warranty work.
Cons:
Doug is a typical salesman. He intentionally (without a doubt) mislabeled distances on the drawing submitted to the county for approval. Inaccurate drawings caused quite a few problems with my neighborhood association, and then to top it off, Doug posed as me and called the property management company and bitched them out.
Needless to say Doug never spoke to me during the build process or came out to take pictures as promised.
I also thought Doug couldve brought a little more design expertise to the table, e.g., designed the spa without a step.
The project manager (cant remember his name) was pretty much useless. I would point out things I thought were wrong and he was always worried about making the workers mad?!?! The diggers were urinating behind my shed; after digging was complete, they tried to make the retaining wall lower than the slope of the yard; the deck people were trying to make the deck depth less than 1 inches prior to pouring the cement; cleanup crew burying debris instead of removing it; and few other things that the project manager should have been checking for and having corrected without prompting from the home owner.
I too had one pump go bad shortly after installation.
The girl at the xxx-0006 number can be quite rude.
