I called Benjamin Franklin for a main sewer clog, the service guy spent half day at the house. Since my wife was here he recommended all sorts of work to me done, including taking the half bathroom toilet off the floor, makes no sense since the clog is from the edge of the house to the road. He charged us $405, including tax and he refused to accept the advertised $50 plumbing service coupon on their website. But that's not the worse in this situation, a week later I have the same clog issue. I called BF back and they said they will charge $39 service fee plus another $160.00 for the service, no warranty was given for their work other than the toilet drain, really? I had another company check the situation and they were completely honest to me that a week later I should not have the issue again, even if roots were cause of the clog issue. When they clean the sewer and roots are present they still open the area wide enough that would last months not weeks. Anyway, $405.00 later with lots of aggravation I'm still with the problem and this company would not even attempt to honer their work. Very disappointed. Now I'd rather pay $400.00 to another company that can get the work done and give us 60-90 day warranty vs. giving BJ another penny.
