Paul Jacobson from Sullivan is HORRIFIC! United Van Lines insurance company is worse! Paul Jacobson was recommended to us and what a mistake that was. Two sets of golf clubs, antique swords an antique gun, cash, were stolen. Marble kitchen table top was smashed by Paul Jacobson before it was even loaded onto the truck! All the connecting cables were lost to all T.V.'s, computer, monitor, and printer. Dining room table TOP was either lost or broken, back to leather recliner missing, kitchen boxes missing; food and/ or drinks spilled on top of boxes so everything inside was moldy and destroyed. All glass shelving in entertainment center and curio cabinets BROKEN. Canopy bed top missing. Marble inserts for post also missing. Legs for desk missing.
Would not give us a legible copy of the manifest. We have $78,000 worth of coverage and the insurance company is a piece of you know what. We have contacted an attorney and he suggested to sue for the full amount. If there was a minus 10 rating, that is what they would receive. Three times has our claim been moved up the ladder and still nobody is willing to accept responsibility for their actions. Their comment is "It's not on the manifest." However, they will not give us a legible copy. They went so far as to look at pictures of our listing on the house we sold because they didn't believe us when we gave them a dollar value of the destroyed items. Then their comments were something like "Oh yes, you did have nice furnishings." They are utterly disgusting! We have been dealing with this for 6 months and our lives have been turned upside down and they could care less. This was the move from $@!#% and back. 45 items either damaged or missing.
