Aside from an early glitch in getting an estimate, I found Windows on Washington to be quite responsive to my questions and requests.

Recently, I gave another homeowner (and potential client for Windows on Washington) the following assessment of my experience with Windows on Washington:

I have been very happy with my new windows, which are OKNA Insul-Tec, 500 Series, double hung, no grids. I ordered this model because it is the approved standard for my Cluster in Reston. (OKNA Insul-Tec, 5600 Series, no grids, replaced my existing patio door.) My house is certainly warmer as the result of this window/door replacement. I no longer feel inclined to use a space heater--which was a daily practice before the window replacement. And, as promised, I don't really notice any difference in window size--even though the glass surface is slightly smaller by a 1/2 inch on each side.

The crew of installers did an impressive job, e.g., fast--yet careful, professional, neat, etc. They arrived at 9 AM and were through by 4 PM. (I have a townhouse, so the job only took one day.) It did get a bit chilly when windows were temporarily removed, but not excessively so. (I wore a jacket inside most of the day.) Before the crew left, they gave me ample opportunity to check all of the new windows/door. I didn't find any problems.
