American Heelers has gone above and beyond in their level and speed of service and expert craftmanship! In particular, I don't know where I would be without John Miller and his kindness, understanding, and commitment to me as a customer. For the past two and a half years, I have been dealing with debilitating and continuous hip and knee pain that has led to the discovery of bilateral hip impingement, complex muscle compensation, and a structural leg length difference of 1.2 cm. I originally tried heel lifts and custom orthotics in my shoe, but I felt as though those threw my body off even more. I knew an external, full shoe lift was the best option, and that's when I discovered American Heelers. I have had to slowly increase the amount of my lift as my body adjusts, and with trial and error being the only option, it has been a painful and frustrating process. But through it all, John and his team have always been incredibly responsive and helpful. They've fixed and sent back pairs of shoes to me in a matter of days. Furthermore, they understand that this is a difficult situation for me, but that I will be a customer for life. While having to adjust all my shoes and forever needing to take my need for a lift into consideration places limits on my options, I continue to be impressed by the work that American Heelers does on adjusting any type of shoe, boot or sandal I give them. While my pain and problems are still ongoing, it is so important and such a relief to be able to walk around with my hips more level. As short, tight muscles continue to release and my body continues to find better balance, I may have to change the amount of my lift. Regardless, I will continue to need shoes adjusted and there is nowhere else I would go than to the terrific team at American Heelers. This company excels at their craft and in their exemplary service to their unique group of customers, and I cannot recommend them highly enough!
